LL Cool J once said “I’m Going back to Cali, stylin, profiling, growlin, and smilin, while in the sun”; and that’s where Intuned Online is going also, Chula Vista, California to be exact. As we continue to scour the earth looking for high end JDM vehicles to share with the world, we found a diamond in the rough; in a car we don’t see that often, the Honda Accord. This particular Accord which belongs to Joey Lee stands out for many reasons; perhaps it’s the Lamborghini paint that covers the car from top to bottom, or the Sigma Front Lip and Chargespeed Grill up front. Maybe it’s the all the carbon fiber that follows the body lines from front to back, all we know is that just standing around this car you can tell it’s special. We start our tour under the hood where the old SOHC engine was swapped out for a JDM H22A from the Accord in Japan topped off with a shaved & powder coated valve cover. The engine isn’t the only thing JDM under the hood, you can also spot out a few parts from Greddy/Trust, RS*R, Samco and Cusco.

Moving on to the interior is any Bride Gradient lover’s dream with many accessories in the cabin re-upholstered to match those perfect condition Bride Brix I seats. Joey pointed out that not only following the JDM theme for his car but also paying attention to use parts that would have been available in 1992 when the car came out, he chooses to roll around on 17×8 Work Meister S1 wheels which have been custom polished; also if you look closely you can see a set of NSX calipers which help bring Joey to a stop when he needs it.

We’re very happy that we had a chance to go back to Cali and find this diamond, or is it an emerald in the rough for this week’s feature.
