After picking up a 1998 Honda Civic Dx Hatchback with a USDM ITR Swap, air intake, JDM ITR 5 lug conversion, SI gauge cluster and coilovers, Andy Gardner of Greenville South Carolina knew he had to take this project all the way to the end. After a ton of money spent on upgrades he now has one of the cleanest hatchbacks in town. As an every day driving car, whether rain, snow or outrageous heat, there is no heat or air conditioning in this naturally aspirated street terror. The stripped out interior picks up a lot of noise and you can hear the RSR ExMag exhaust scream when at W.O.T. The Kenwood Head Unit mounted under the JDM Dual Din Blockoff Plate customized to hold a Zune MP3 player sends radio waves through 2 Pioneer 6 1/2_ 3way 250watt speakers to make the ride more comfortable. Speaking of comfortable, Andy got rid of his USDM ITR seats and traded for a set of F1Spec Type 2 racing bucket seats topped off with 4 point racing harnesses to strap him down when he goes out on the road. All the power is controlled from the cockpit with a MOMO Monte Carlo 320mm steering wheel on a NRG quick release with a NRG short hub. To help shift through the smooth gears of the ITR tranny, Andy had installed a Skunk2 weighted shift knob with a CTR red stitched shift boot. To top it all off the exterior is just as aggressive looking as the interior.
