April 5-6, 2008
Moroso Motorsports Park
West Palm Beach, FL

Moroso Motorsports Park played host to the second NOPI Tour stop on April 5 and 6, 2008. In typical NOPI fashion, the event was huge with something for everyone, from crazy show cars to fire spitting drag racers and of course, the NOPI Drift Series. This was by far one of the biggest turnouts Moroso has ever had for an event.

Starting with the XPlod NOPI Drag Series, the time slips were closer than ever. Unfortunately due to rain, the Unlimited Street, Hot Rod and Modified finals will be held at NOPI’s next stop in Englishtown, NJ. But before the rain ruined it for everyone, fans got to lots of action in the PRO class, with really close time slips in the PRO FWD class and a lot of breakdowns in the PRO RWD. With GM dominating the PRO FWD, both first and second place podium finishes were Chevys, but Matt Ladwig came out on top with the Lucas Oil Chevy Cobalt. As for the PRO RWD, there were lots of breakdowns and in the end Kevin McCurdy cruised to finish line. In the Sportsman class the racing was intense before the rain, with the YOParts! Integra piloted by Jonathan Reynolds winning Turbo Street. Unfortunately fans will have to wait until Englishtown for the finals, and it’ll definitely be a close one.
